Grint Takes Time Off After Harry Potter
November 20, 2010
“I’ve got a pretty normal life really. The only time I really feel famous is when get recognized or at premieres. But day to day, it’s quite boring.” This is what Rupert Grint told reporters when he was about having to go through airport security without much hoopla from the people around him. When you watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I online, Grint will reprise his role as the bumbling sidekick of Harry Potter and the love interest of Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley.
Unlike his other castmates like Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, Grint does not have any plans yet. Radcliffe have upcoming projects in both the films and theater, while Watson is set to have a small role in a British drama but will return afterwards to Brown University to continue her studies. But he loves to take some time off, like probably trying to watch Harry Potter 7 Part I online, now that they have already wrapped up shooting. He said, “There’s a lot of best kind of roles. But I’m not in a real rush at the moment I’m just enjoying a bit of freedom really. Because it’s been constant work since were 11, so it’s nice to slow down and just chill out a bit.”
Reporters then asked the 22-year old actor about the emotional last day of filming last June. He told them, “I didn’t really know how I was really gonna feel on the last day. It was actually really sad. We all cried and had a little moment. I think just coz it has been such a long time, half our lives, and for it to come down to just one last shot seemed like a huge deal, really. We had a barbecue and I brought my ice cream van down and served ice creams. I’m definitely gonna miss it.” He then added that no mater where his path takes him, he said, “I’ll always be the ginger one from Harry Potter.”
Watch Harry Potter 7 Part I online to see Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley because he may take some time off or leave acting permanently after this.
