Twilight Conquered the 3rd National Movie Awards

Last May 26 at the National Movie Awards, it proved to be the night for the Twilight series. Vampires and werewolves showed that they were the one to beat. The series took home two major awards, including the coveted Most Anticipated Summer Movie award, beating two major sequels. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse grabbed the trophy over Sex and City 2 (a sequel to the big screen adaptation of the award-winning and highly successful HBO comedy series which starred Sarah Jessica Parker and the rest of her fashionable posses) and Toy Story 3 (the third installment of the much-loved Toy Story which featured the voices of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen). Eclipse will be shown in theaters on June 30, while SATC 2 will hit cinemas on May 27, 2010 and Toy Story 3 on June 18. If you want, you can Watch Eclipse online.

The second installment of the Twilight series New Moon won the Best Fantasy movie.  The film directed by Chris Weitz overtook seasoned directors like James Cameron for the 3D megahit Avatar, Tim Burton and his psychedelic take on Lewis Carroll classic Alice in Wonderland, and French director Louis Leterrier who is best known for his movies like Transporter 2 and The Incredible Hulk. Robert Pattinson was solely nominated for Best Performance. He played Edward Cullen. But he was not able to attend the event because he shooting a film.  Co-star Peter Facinelli received the award. Interestingly enough, there were no nominees for Best Female category. The Harry Potter franchise also took home two awards. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince grabbed Best Family movie. Harry Potter was also given the special Recognition Award. Tom Cruise accepted the Screen Icon award from Gwyneth Paltrow who went as presenter. The award ceremony was hosted by James Nesbitt, and was held annually at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

New Eclipse TV Spot

Summit Entertainment has released a new Eclipse TV spot, after it has been announced that a new clip will be previewed at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards on June 6, 2010. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner will present the clip and will most probably accept several Golden Popcorn trophies from the several categories they and the second installment of the Twilight series New Moon are nominated.

The latest TV spot feels like watching a shortened version of the last and final trailer of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse that the studio has released. The studio has released several movie clips in the past few weeks. Numerous “exclusives” and “world premieres” made a couple of rounds on several talk shows like The Ellen Degeneres Show and the Oprah Winfrey Show. Two separate clips debuted on two separate episodes of Ellen; the conversation of Bella Swan and Rosalie Hale because she feels that Bella is making a wrong decision, and the confrontation of Edward Cullen and Jacob Black while Charlie and Bella Swan try to calm them down. The world premiere of the final trailer happened on Oprah, as well as the Volturi Guards clip, when Pattinson, Stewart, and Lautner were special guests. And again, a brand new never been seen clip will be unveiled at this year’s MMAs.

The newest snippet starts with the newborn vampire army of Victoria coming out of the water led by Riley. It also features battle scenes between the newborn vampires against the combined forces of the Cullen coven and the shape shifters. The red-headed evil vampire also shows off her amazing fighting abilities and great escaping skills. She leaps across a cliff and jumps from tree to tree. But just like the final trailer, there seems to be no romance.

Twilight Stars to Present New Eclipse Scene at the MMAs

Twilight big stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner will be presenting a new clip from the upcoming Twilight saga: Eclipse.  The never before seen clip will debut at the MTV Movie Awards on June 6, 2010 from the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, California. The last two movie clips that Summit Entertainment was the confrontation scene between Edward Cullen and Jacob Black and the conversation of Bella Swan and Rosalie Hale.

They have become staples at the MMAs since they shot to stardom in 2008 for the first Twilight movie. They also came in the past two year to premiere movie scenes from the first and second installment of the Twilight series. In 2008, a scene in Twilight about the battle scene between Edward and James (played by Cam Gigandet)  at the ballet studio debuted on the awards show. The year after that, a new clip from new Moon also premiered on the show. The clip was a birthday scene of Bella but the highlight would be witnessing for the first time the transformation of Jacob to a wolf as he tries to save Bella. The movie is nominated for five categories, tying with James Cameron’s Avatar. But the comedy The Hangover leads the pack with six nominations.

Also in the show is Chaske Spencer, who plays one of the shapeshifters Sam Uley, who will be the official MTV International “2010 MTV Movie awards” guest red carpet correspondent. It will be part of the special edition of MTV At The Movies. Parks and recreations’ Aziz Ansari will host the show. I have no idea what clip they will be showing, but I’m pretty sure that it would be something that would make us want to watch Eclipse when it hits theaters on June 30, 2010. New Cullens Banner

To all diehard Team Edwards, a new banner has been released by Summit Entertainment that features Edward and the rest of the Cullen family. This is the first time in the Eclipse promotional drive that the Cullens take center stage after they have all signed on to appear on the final chapter of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn following the salary dispute of Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene.

The poster is led by a blown-up picture of Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson. Pattinson is still in renegotiations with his contract for Breaking Dawn, but it is expected that he will have a huge raise for the final installment of the series. On the back are Emmett and Alice Cullen, played by Lutz and Greene, who have settled with the studio and will be paid around $1.25 million for the consecutive Twilight movies. Jasper Hale and his “sister” Rosalie, portrayed by Jackson Rathbone and Nikki Reed, will have salaries ranging between $750,000- $1 million. Fathers Dr. Carlisle Cullen, played by Peter Facinelli, and Charlie Swan, played by Billy Burke, have both signed on to film the follow-up to Eclipse but reportedly with no salary changes. There is no word on how much Elizabeth Reaser, who plays Esme Cullen, wife of Dr. Carlisle, will be paid.

 The images seem to look darker compared to the past Twilight movies. One of the main reasons would probably be the director David Slade. The British film director is best known for directing music videos for artists like System of a Down, Tori Amos, Stone Temple Pilots, The Killers, and Muse, which also sang the lead single from the original soundtrack of the Eclipse. His first feature film was the psychological thriller Hard Candy in 2005. The 2007 vampire movie 30 Days of Night was his follow-up film which starred Josh Hartnett. It is rumored that his next film is the adaptation of Walter B. Gibson’s The Shadow.

2 New Eclipse Clips

After the press release by Summit Entertainment that original cast of the Cullen coven will return for the Breaking Dawn movie/s after the salary dispute of Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene has been resolved, now Summit has unveiled 2 new movie clips from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The movie is directed by David Slade, who is well-known for making music videos for artists like Tori Amos and Muse. Incidentally, Muse has appeared on all the three Twilight soundtracks, and their song Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever) will be the lead single for Eclipse.

The first clip features a confrontation scene between Edward Cullen and Jacob Black, while Bella swan was trying to break them up. Edward is asking Jacob to stay away from his girl. But Jacob tells him that Bella doesn’t know what she wants. Bella’s father, Charlie, then comes and asks them what is happening. Jacob then confesses that he has kissed Bella. Edward is played by Robert Pattinson, Jacob is played by Taylor Lautner, Bella is played by Kristen Stewart, and Charlie is played by Billy Burke. Burke has also signed on to return to Breaking Dawn.

The next clip shows a conversation between Bella and Rosalie Hale (played by Nikki Reed.) Bella asks Rosalie why she hates her, Rosalie then answers that she doesn’t but she admits to her that she doesn’t like her either because she envies her. Unlike her and the rest of them, Rosalie did not have a choice if she wanted to become a vampire, and if she did, she would not have wanted to. But Bella wanted to turn herself into a vampire. She reveals to her that she feels that she is making a bad decision for becoming a bloodsucker.

Lutz and Greene will Return on Breaking Dawn

After the release of the first single from the official soundtrack of Twilight Saga: Eclipse, now Summit Entertainment has published a press release saying that the whole family of the Cullen coven will return for the fourth and final installment of the Twilight series. The Cullens cast members, which include Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, and Nikki Reed, have all signed to reprise their roles in Breaking Dawn. Billy Burke will also come back as Bellas’s father Charlie Swan.

In the past weeks, the return of the complete cast for the final chapter of the series has been hanging following reports of salary disputes between some of the Cullen kids and Summit. Lutz and Greene reportedly were asking for a higher talent fees to reprise their roles as Emmett and Alice Cullen. Depending on where you get the figures, the two wanted from $1.5 million up to as high as $4 million per film. But Summit signed them for a reported $1.25 million a piece for Breaking Dawn. Rathbone and Reed will be paid between $750,000 up to $1 million for each movie. Facinelli and Burke will be paid the same amount as the first three movies.

But the good news about this is that there will be no recasting. If you can still remember, Rachelle Lefevre was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria in Eclipse. Lefevre played the evil vampire in Twilight and New Moon, but she was replaced by Howard on the third film after some scheduling conflicts. But the bad news about the press release is that there is still no confirmation whether Breaking Dawn will be divided into two movies. But they have stated a scheduled release date, though, which is set on November 18, 2011.

Muse in Eclipse Soundtrack: Third Time’s a Charm

I know you’re all waiting to Watch Twilight Eclipse Online Free but for now, listen to this. After the tracklist of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse- Original Motion Picture Soundtrack has been revealed; now the first single off the album has been released. The single is titled “Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)” and it is sung by the English alternative rock band Muse. They are the favorite band of Twilight series author Stephenie Meyer and it seems pretty obvious because they have been on all three albums.

I am a huge fan of them, too. Muse is one of my favorite rock bands of all time. They are just freaking awesome. And finally, after having been included in the past two Twilight albums, on Eclipse they are given the honor to be the lead single off the soundtrack. I was glad as well because when I listened to the rock song, they really made the right choice. It had the same bittersweet sting to it that the movie was looking for. In an interview with Muse’s vocalist Matt Bellamy, he said that he wrote the song after he broke up with his long-time girlfriend in 2009. The lyrics were based on his feelings at the beginning of their relationship. It captured the emotions of the forbidden love of Bella and Edward.

After the much talked about Salary dispute between two Cullens stars and Summit, this release of the Twilight Soundtracks and the latest Twilight Eclipse Movie posters, it will surely make the fans so happy, with the dark skies way past them now and getting ready to see the full movie this June. After watching tons and tons of Twilight Saga: Eclipse movie clips, the Volturi finally has their very own where they arae the focus during the whole short movie clip. Yey to Volturi! My niece who is a huge fan of the movie series will surely enjoy watching this clip especially since she’s been dying to Watch Eclipse Online ever since she knew the movie has already been made and just waiting for it’s official release. 

After going crazy over the Eclipse Tracklist that was recently released, this is a huge news for her. She already asked me a lot of times where can she buy the album for the records in the tracklist! Imagine that! Going back to the “Volturi” Eclipse movie clip, I personally loved it since I am a huge fan of Jane, one of the elite member of the ancient vampire coven. On this short clip, Jane shows her fellow Volturi guards her awesome powers by making Felix, the most powerful (physically) vampire go down to his knees after having an argument with Jane. Dakota Fanning really looks good and does a great job with her vampire role. I can’t wait to see her more when I get to Watch Twilight Saga: Eclipse Online Free on Kralix.
